Humans are adults, or animals is a creature that has developed in all its potential. In the realm of human beings, adult refers to legal and social concepts. As opposed to a "non-adult" or "minor" legally adult is a person who has attained the age of majority, and therefore is regarded as an independent, self-sufficient person and accountable. The term "major" is a term applied to the person. The age for achieving the legal age of adulthood is 18 however, definitions can differ based on laws, countries and the level of development in psychological terms.

The stage of development for humans in which full physical and mental maturity has been reached. It usually starts when a person reaches an age that is 21. It is generally believed that middle age starts at 40 or so years old. It is then it will be around 60. Early adulthood begins between the ages of 18 to 30. The middle age stage begins from in the 30s to 60s. The transition to late adulthood begins around the mid-60s. When we enter early adulthood (20 to the early 40s) the physical development is complete, although the size and weight of our bodies may increase slightly. The physical abilities of our bodies are at their peak at the age of young adulthood. This is reflected in muscle strength in addition to reflex time, the sensors, and the heart's function.
